Privacy notice
Darood Bank records Salawat offered upon RasulAllah ﷺ. This notice explains what we store for the current staging build. A solicitor-reviewed policy may replace this before the apex domain goes live.
What we collect
- Display name (required on each submission) so we can store your contribution. Names are used for admin-only totals and are not shown on a public named leaderboard.
- Count, prayer type, optional note, and timestamp of each submission.
- Country / region from the optional form field or, on Vercel, from the
x-vercel-ip-countryheader when present. Aggregated country totals may appear on the public map; individual names will not. - If you sign in with a magic link, we store your email and a profile display name, and we link later submissions made while signed in to your account for your personal tracker.
What we do not do
- We do not publish a public named leaderboard.
- We do not send a confirmation email for every submission.
- Guest submissions (without sign-in) are not linked to an account email.
- Magic-link emails are sent by our authentication provider (Supabase) only when you request a sign-in link.
Who can see what
- Public: global Salawat total and country aggregates.
- You (signed in): your own linked submissions on My Salawat.
- Site admin: name ranks and recent submissions for stewardship of the service (password-gated admin tools on staging).
Retention & contact
Data is held to operate the shared total and personal tracker. Hosting is currently on Vercel with a Supabase database in the EU (London region). For privacy questions about this staging site, contact the site operator via the project team. This notice will be updated before daroodbank.com cutover.
