Darood Bank is a worldwide initiative dedicated to increasing Salawat upon our beloved RasulAllah ﷺ, bringing together the recitations of individuals, families and communities into one continuing global total.
Every Salawat is precious.
By recording our recitations together, we can watch the worldwide total grow, encourage one another towards goodness and inspire even more Salawat upon our beloved RasulAllah ﷺ.
Purpose and legacy
Darood Bank exists so that anyone — guest or signed-in — can recite Salawat upon RasulAllah ﷺ and record that offering in a shared worldwide total. The act itself is the point: blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
This effort sits within an Ahle Sunnah ethos of love for RasulAllah ﷺ and of increasing Salawat with sincerity. Under the spiritual guidance and encouragement of Shaykh Sufi Arshad Mahmood Sahib, communities associated with Naqshbandi Sufi have united for more than a decade in sending abundant Darood and Salawat.
We are not starting from zero. Darood Bank carries that beautiful effort forward into the digital age — so every Salawat submitted here adds to a continuing worldwide total.

Communities have published annual Salawat totals since 2013 — over 2.3 trillion Durood Sharif since 2013 (and counting). The figure below is a community-published reconstruction of those yearly totals. It is our historic starting balance for the main worldwide odometer; every accepted Darood Bank submission adds to it.

Strive together in goodness
The Qur’an invites us to strive with one another in good works. Seeing others increase in Salawat encourages the heart — in personal practice, families, friends, Mehfils, communities, cities and countries across the Ummah, inspired by one another.
When one person records their Salawat, another is encouraged. That is the spirit of striving together in goodness.
An act commanded by Allah
Sending Salawat (Darood / Durood Shareef) upon RasulAllah ﷺ is an act of obedience and love. Believers are invited to join Allah and His angels in that blessing.
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتَهُۥ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ ۚ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ صَلُّوا۟ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا۟ تَسْلِيمًا
Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O believers, invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace.
One Ummah, countless Salawat
