The Beautiful Virtues of Salawat ﷺ
Sending Salawat upon RasulAllah ﷺ is one of the most beautiful acts of remembrance a believer can perform.
It is an expression of our love and reverence for RasulAllah ﷺ, an act commanded by Allah Almighty and an act for which immense blessings have been promised.

A command from Allah Almighty
Before any narration, there is the clear command of Allah Almighty. Believers are invited to join Allah and His angels in sending blessings and peace upon the Prophet ﷺ.
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَٰٓئِكَتَهُۥ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّ ۚ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ صَلُّوا۟ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا۟ تَسْلِيمًا
Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O believers, invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace.
“So let us answer that command with love — and increase our Salawat upon RasulAllah ﷺ.”

Ten blessings for one Salawat
A single Salawat is never small. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught that one blessing upon him is met with ten from Allah.
“He who blesses me once, Allah would bless him ten times.”

Sins erased and ranks raised
Alongside tenfold blessings, a well-known narration speaks of sins erased and ranks raised — a mercy that encourages the heart to keep going.
“Whoever sends salah upon me once, Allah will send salah upon him tenfold, erase ten sins from him, and raise him ten degrees.”

Among the closest to RasulAllah ﷺ
Love shows itself in abundance. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ pointed to those who send the most salah upon him as being among the closest to him on the Day of Judgement.
“The closest of people to me on the Day of Judgement will be those who send the most salat upon me.”

Increase your Salawat
When Ubayy ibn Ka‘b asked how much of his dua he should dedicate to salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ, he was encouraged to increase — even to the point of making it the greater share of his dua.
- Set a gentle daily target you can keep — and raise it when you can.
- Send Salawat after salah, while walking, or in quiet moments of the day.
- Share the encouragement with family and Mehfils — strive together in goodness.
- Record what you recite here so the worldwide total grows with every offering.
